Just a little bit about the guys…(I may add more later so please forgive me for just the snippet)
Brad D -
ahem…DR. Brad D. I met Brad while I was in school at TTU (that’s Tennessee Tech to you TX folks). He, like many of my groomsmen have such a love for their Maker. Brad fell hopelessly in love with the sister of my best man, Robert, and married her shortly after. My single favorite memory with Brad was our summit of Mt Rainier in Washington state last year. He and his wife live in Denver, CO.
Brett H -
I met Brett when he was hired to work as a youth ministry intern at Madison church. Brett was in school at Lipscomb at the same time as me. While there, we lived at my grandmother’s house for 2 years. My single favorite memory with Brett was our sailing adventure in Panama City, FL one spring break. It was only a Catamaran, but we had the time of our lives with dolphins jumping on both sides. Brett is my only friend who is an Ironman. He has successfully completed multiple Ironmen Triathalons and many Marathons as well. I have stood on the top of Mt Elbert, Longs Peak, and Mt Rainier with Brett. He and his wife live in Murfreesboro, TN.
Dave C -
I honestly don’t remember where I met Dave for the first time. It’s like we’ve at least known of each other for life. We grew up in the same church, high school, and college. I remember having lunch with Dave one day when he was first getting into web design. I had hacked at it as a hobby and he decided to make a career of it. Many thanks to Dave for the site you are looking at now! I remember how excited I was when he and his wife moved to live on the same street as me in Hendersonville. I would say one of Dave’s strongest passions (other than his wife) is for the people in Jamaica to know the Lord. He has made countless trips to work with multiple churches on the island. Dave and his wife live in Hendersonville, TN.
Dave L -
I first met Dave at the University Christian Student Center while at TTU. Dave, like myself, loves to ride a bike. I know, I’m 31 and should be on to more adult-ish things. I still like to ride. We made several rides together and eventually shared an apartment for my last year in Cookeville. In August of 2000 I summitted Longs Peak with Dave. Dave is a skilled craftsman and brilliant engineer. He and his wife live in Denver, CO.
Greg C -
Greg is Stacey’s brother. She may have more to say about her brother so I won’t say much. Yes…both her brother and fiance share the same first name. I first met Greg in Oct 07 after dating Stacey for nearly 6 months when we flew to spend a few days with him in Chicago. What a host! We travelled all over downtown Chicago and got to see all the main attractions. Greg works at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and lives just a few short blocks from Wrigley Field. Hey….it’s Stacey talking……I do have quite a bit to say about my little bro but will keep it short. First of all he can make me laugh like no other especially when he is imitating our dad!! We fought like cats and dogs growing up-just being a year a part-but once I left for ACU and the following year he left for Harding we soon realized how much we missed each other. I love going to visit him every year in Chi-Town and continue to be amazed at how many people he knows in the big city!!! He loves the Lord and loves having fun in life. In my opinion that is a good combination to live by. Love ya bro!
Josh S -
I first met Josh at TTU. Josh, like myself, loves the outdoors and like all my groomsmen (correct me if I’m wrong) couldn’t give a flip about ESPN, who’s playing next, who plays for what team, and how many goals Hank Aaron scored in the third period of the Super Bowl. ;) Although I haven’t seen much of Josh I love him like a brother. He is truly his own person not caring what the world around might try to make of him. Some of my favorite times with Josh were biking and being at his parents cabin on the Ocoee River in Chattanooga, TN. Josh and his wife live in Nashville, TN.
Robert T -
Robert is my best man. I first met Robert at TTU and we were immediately great friends. He also shares a love for the outdoors. We’ve hiked, biked and climbed together. He’s currently the only person with whom I’ve scaled 2 - 14′000′+ peaks in one day…and what a fun day it was. I had the priviledge of being a groomsmen in Robert’s wedding just a few short years ago. Robert is a huge part of why I am in TX. I needed a job and with his reference was hired almost immediately. Robert recently moved back to TN to build a business with Edward Jones. He and his wife live in Hermitage, TN.
Wil W -
With a “W” for your first name and last you’re sure to be at the bottom of the list…but certainly not least. I met Wil at Lipscomb…then again at TTU where we became friends. I don’t know of a single person that would have something bad to say about Wil. We were both very involved at the UCSC in college and kept in touch through the years. Wil and I share the love of flying (one of the world’s most expensive hobbies)! Wil (like Dave) is a highly skilled craftsman and can build just about anything he sets his mind on. Wil also made the trip with me last year up Mt Rainier. He and his wife live in Nashville, TN.
I am blessed to have 8 groomsmen, all with a love for the Lord, share such a special day in my life.
